two seconds, I just need two seconds to gush. I am loving Spin so far. I feel like I’m reading Phillip Marlow with sex–maybe I should say the Godfather but there is a hard-boiled quality to your writing that isn’t in the Godfather. I love your women. They are so pragmatic and tough.
And what a pleasure to see someone present LA with all of it’s warts, shlubs and peccadilloes. I lived there for 8 years and can’t stand the place. Your writing reminds me about the good, the bad and the ugly.
At any rate, keep writing. Write faster!
No seriously, this stuff hits a real sweet spot for me. The characters are crazy and needy because you wrote them that way, not because you are and I’m finding Teresa just as intriguing as her screwed up brother.
The sad bit is in a mere few hours I will be back to waiting for the sequel to Spin.
