Oh my!!! This book was awesome. What marriage hasn’t been on the precipice of desolation, even in your mind :-). I love the fact that Adam loved his wife and wanted to fight for her. I can hardly wait for the next book to see how Diana will fight for him. Will written and keeps you on the seat of your pants. I pre-ordered this book. I began reading first thing and was up all night completing it. I couldn’t put it down!!!

  2. Natalie Torres says:

Thanks so much! I absolutely love this story and can’t wait for the next book! You’re an amazing author!

  3. Reiss-aholic says:

Loved the book though it was a painful read for me — unresolved d/s issues in my longtime relationship. But the story was engrossing and the characters unique. Just wish I didn’t have to wait three months for the sequel. I probably should have waited until it came out before reading this but I had pre-ordered and couldn’t wait once it was on my computer. Maybe I’ll re-read Marriage Games before reading the sequel. I’ve read SOS 6 or 7 times because I love the characters and your writing so much! Thank you.

  4. Lisa says:

A very clever and inventive book , I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Adam, Diana, Serena and Stefan. I loved the relationship Adam wanted with Diana, I can’t wait to see how Diana decides to fight for Adam . This book was fun and exciting to read , I couldn’t put it down. I’m not happy I have to wait until January to find out the conclusion but I love me a good story and this was superb !! I have read everything from this author and it just keeps getting better and better !!

  5. I loved this book. Nothings quiet clear yet but I know the answers are coming. Love Adam, Diana doesn’t seem to know herself. Nobody writes like you!!!

  8. OH..MY..GOD!! It was sooooooo good! I felt every fricken word in the pit of my stomach. I can not wait for the next book. ❤

  9. Elise says:

“Spread me like a sheet of paper. Write your life on mine. Fold past and present together like a letter. I am yours.” Gah – you’re sooo good :). Thanks for the stories in that gorgeous mind of yours – reading them has been such a great pleasure during the last several years!

Thank you so much for the Marriage Games! I have read all your books. This is spectacular. You feel all the emotions that both Adam and Diana feel. I sure hope babies for them after the devastation they had to endure.
Love the Minnesota reference. ( Go Midwest!). January can’t come soon enough….Separation Games

  12. Valerie stucki says:

I love the way you put together words.
Sophisticated, sensual, believable…laced with humor and raw emotion.
I am never disappointed. Thank you, word goddess. I will wait for more Adam and Diana…how could I not?

  16. G Hill says:

This is your best writing yet. It’s quite a psychological study. Marriage Games? Mind Games?

  17. Sheila says:

This is my first book by you and I’m absolutely blown away. I loved how you started out with Adam’s POV and ended with Diana’s, what an awakening.

“There were two weeks left in our arrangement.
They were mine, and so was he.”

I can’t love this book enough. I can’t wait for January.

  18. Denise says:

Omg!!!! Loved this story! Aargh! Hate having to wait till January ? One of the best I’ve read all year, and believe me I’ve read loads! I love your books and have read them all and this one for me is one of your best! Can’t wait for the happy ending. I’m a sucker for those! Now I’ll have to find a book to read or ten! Lol can’t stop thinking about this book! Thank you CD haven’t felt like this since I finished reading a Sylvia Day series .

  19. Diane Dykes says:

I am so happy that one day I stumbled upon this indie author who’s book sounded so interesting and spoke to me on a level I wasn’t even aware I was on…that was Songs of Submission and I haven’t missed a single thing you’ve written since. Christine, your books stir up raw emotions and touch me unlike any others. It’s so hard to put into words all the feels that happen…and I mean for days after I turn the final page. I hope you never know a day where you question whether or not this is what you were meant to do. I don’t like it much, but I will patiently wait to see how our little huntress bags her man…I have complete faith that you will not disappoint me! Worst hangover ever!

  20. Maribel Campagnolo says:

Wow! I’m wasted and haven’t had a drink! Thank you, thank you! I had to reread last few chapters so I can get a handle on Alex. Diane got on my nerves half the time and I’m okay with her being left on her knees! She better bring her A game to get my man Alex back!! I’ll likely go over this fine piece of writing a few dozen times. It’s left a mark and that’s what makes you a damn good writer my friend!!

  21. Charlene Wilson says:

I have loved all your books but Adam and Diana have kept me up all night and just couldn’t put it down. Take pity on all your devoted readers and try and get the sequel out for Christmas . If possible. You are by far my favorite author your talent with words and imagination surpass all others.

    • C.D. Reiss says:

There is no way I could have this ready for Christmas – sorry!
And my publisher wanted it out in May but I had to say no!

  22. Juicee Sushie says:

OMG I don’t think have all the words to describe just how amazingly awesome Marriage Games is?!!! I woke up at about 10am today 29th Oct 2016 and it’s about 3:30pm 29th Oct 2016 and I am only now able to get out of bed & get ready for the day, eat, etc. as I have finished reading this superb book from start to finish!! Absolutely loved❤️ every minute of it and am having huge withdrawal symptoms of not having the second book to read immediately – then again if I did have the second book to read it would be tomorrow before I would get out of bed!!

Fabulous book and feeling very sad that I’m finished it?!

Loved Adam & Diana and cannot wait to read the next instalment, wish it was out for Christmas, but regardless I will be reading it as soon as it is released.

    • C.D. Reiss says:

There was no way I could get this ready for Christmas. Sorry!

    • GWEN WISDOM says:

This is the first book that I have read and what a way to start reading someone new! I loved Adam and Diana’s story and can’t wait for January to find out how they work things out.

  23. Omg !!! This is the first book from this author that I have read. I seen the video for is on my news feed and had to read it . Stoped the book I was currently reading to read is and was not disappointed…. I will not be waiting patiently for the next book to come out. If you have not read it it is a MUST read. Great story line. I think ever married couple can relate to. Amazing characters and steamy between the sheets.

    • C.D. Reiss says:

I’m glad to hear that Chrystal! You should try The Submission Series – Beg Tease Submit while you wait!

  24. Carol Hall says:

You’ve ruined me again for other reading. Book hangover. I’ll go check your Goodreads group for discussion like where did this idea come to you?

  25. PKAZ says:

OK….Nice try Adam….you can’t “unlove” someone in 2 weeks. You may have told her that, and try to convince yourself that its true, but I’m not buying it! Anxiously awaiting to see What Diana has up her sleeve….Loved this Book! Like everyone else I hate to wait, but 66 days will fly by! What a great way to start off the New Year! Let the countdown begin!

  26. Lori Miler says:

Such an amazin story you hav given us. These characters are so beautiful and lonely and damaged, and I loved feeling their every emotion. Like every other comment, I’m in despair of having to wait until Jan to find out what happens, but am treating it as a reward for making it through the ccraziest ime of year.
Signed, your new forever loyal reader

  27. Lailani says:

The only agonizing thing about loving your books Christine is that I’ve read all of them, some multiple times, and I have to wait for the next one to get my “fix”. I tried to pace myself Marriage Games, yet it still went to quickly. I feel like a spoiled child yelling “I want more!!!”. Loved it. But really, I want more! Get on that… Lol…xoxo

  28. Michele says:

    I can’t wait for book 2 I. Didn’t want to put it down .

  29. Michele says:

I love your books. So descriptive and authentic. I especially love how the dominants question themselves as much as the submissive do. And though they all may fear what they will find, they always have the courage to look and delve deeper. Already preordered. Anxiously awaiting for January 2017.

    • C.D. Reiss says:

Exactly. It’s funny how we always read about the subs questioning but the Doms are always so perfectly comfortable with who they are. Even if that’s the reality, it’s no fun as a writer.

  30. Marta Williams says:

As I read this book, I couldn’t help but to put myself in her place to see if I could be submissive or if I’d walk away. Such a well written emotional story; you can’t help but be caught up in it. I can hardly wait to read the next part. Loved it!

  31. Sue Ray says:

I have read several of your books and have enjoyed every one of them. Can’t wait til January.

  32. Judith Lattin says:

Hi Christine, I just finished Marriage Games. I’ve been reading all day. I only moved to grab a quick snack and a quick tinkle. Hahaha.
I’m totally in love with Adam and Diana and truly want them to work it out and be a strong couple together. Thank you for your fantastic words. I have several highlights that just blew me away. You are a word master.
I saw Adam as troubled by his choices and Diana very decisive with hers. It was a different and intriguing view of a D/s relationship. I’m looking forward to Separation Games in January. Love you Queen Christine. ?

  33. Liz Reads says:

This was *amazing * book. If I had of known I would be left this invested, and that the sequel was in January, it probably would have landed in my tbd pile, at least until the part 2 released (and it’s dangerous in there). But you’ve given me a reason to re-read it again in January, and I am just going to have to try and be patient! I don’t think it will be a problem because I have most of your books yet to read, waiting on my Kindle.’ Marriage Games’ made me a fan for life!

  34. Amy Jo says:

Holy hell, you did it again CD! I’ve loved all your books thus far, and this is by far the best of the bunch….so far! Gezz and to think we have to wait until January? Ugh woman, your killing me!! Great job as always!!! 🙂

  35. Jenny Schaber says:

FYI: Out of your “10” questions, you skipped #5. LOL!
About the book: The only thing that is annoying me is the wait for the other half. I didn’t realize it wasn’t until January until I finished reading. BUT, the emotion and realism of your characters is almost frightening. I love how you are so in tune with your male characters. Adam’s words and thoughts were expressed so well that I was actually disappointed when you switched over to Diana. I just wanted to keep being in Adam’s head – especially at the end. I’ve always been closer with men in my real life, so I feel more of a connection with the male characters when the author does it so well. And you are the QUEEN at producing male characters that we want to both devour and be devoted to. I now have something to look forward to in January. (I’m secretly hoping that Diana breaks him a bit further because he needs to let it out somewhere and the safest place would be with her.) Thanks for another fantastic story!

  36. Shelia says:

Just finished reading marriage games. All I can say is she got want she wanted at first but in the end. I guess that is not what she wanted

  37. Cherie says:

I loved this book. I think Adam had something happen to him to make him that way, but I am hopefully they find their way back. I’m a hea kind of girl…even with the spankings : )

  38. M kabat says:

Great read! Can’t wait for book 2

  39. Sandra says:

WOW! This book is so different and so deep. One must look into one’s self to feel what the characters are feeling. You have really outdone yourself.

  40. Heidi's BookReality says:

I’ll admit, I screamed a little at the end of the book…but I loved the story (as painful as it was to read at times). January can’t get here fast enough!

  41. This was a brilliantly written story. I read SOS awhile ago and loved it. I feel like you are back to what you are a master at….character psychology. You have an uncanny ability to allow the reader inside to live your character’s torments of all flavors.
Thank you. I learned so much from your writing. I’m looking forward to reading the continuing saga of Diana’s fight and Adam’s secret.

  42. Al says:

Hi Christine. Another hit out of the ball park for you (Hope you like my baseball analogy?)
Does Serena play a major role in book 2? Nervous to read it now that Adam is a free agent. So desperately want him to reconnect with Diana.

  43. Michelle says:

Fabulous Book…what an amazing look inside the intricacies of a D/s relationship.

  44. Lisa says:

    1. I want it to be January now.
    2. I want to punch Serena, and Stefan
    3. Diana is going to be on the hunt…for her f
    Husband.

  45. I clicked the e-reader but can’t get enough and ordered the paperback copy as well. My very first book of you and become a fan. I cannot wait for the second book. I left 5*****’s reviews in three different site. Though winning a purse is great but I’d rather wish to win the gift card. I could buy more of your paperbacks. Thank you so much for the giveaway.

  46. Laura Lyons-Ross says:

Such a spellbinding, beguiling book… couldn’t put it down until it was finished! It’s not very often I get totally engrossed in book that I couldn’t put it down, the characters in this book had me captivated. I love it. Definitely one of the best books I’ve read. I’m totally looking forward to the next one, ~ Diana fighting for Adam.. Oh, January, please please do hurry up.

  47. Lydia Rella says:

Amazing, amazing, amazing. The audio is just stellar and completely captivating!

  48. Gwen says:

  49. Diane Carlson says:

Loved this book. I am at a loss for words. All I can say WOW! Can’t wait for the 2nd book.

  50. Tammy Grogan says:

Love the story! Sad that I have to wait. However, I know it will be worth it.

  51. Mary anne says:

Marriage games deserved 5 stars. I read a lot?

  52. Barbara Ducassoux says:

Couldn’t put it down. Left me crying for Diana and all her emotions. I could feel her heart brake as well as her determination to hopefully go back and get Adam. Can’t wait for January!!
10 stars to our queen for she never fails to amaze and satisfy us with her amazing stories .
Here’s to you Christine Reiss ??

  53. Kimberly Gallant says:

    Dear Ms Dress

When I was in 8th grade I started to intensely dislike English literature. School teachers would take an author’s written story and dissect their thoughts, intentions and messages into sentences meaning or representing something else. This would drive m why couldn’t we just enjoy the book…

Now I am not saying this ruined my love of reading, no way. Each Friday night my Dad would take me to our local library to borrow out books for the week. Of four kids I was the only one who inherited his love of reading. By the time I was 12 I had run out of books to read in the kids section. The young adult section was not an option until age 14, but somehow I convinced them o let me into the section early. By 14 I was into adult reading. It helped that I was tall and very mature for my age.

Now some 40 years later and I reflect back on the thousands of books I’ve read, notwithstanding the 2000 books I’ve read since retiring in 2012 due to illness. MARRIAGE GAMES has to be the most complicated, fascinating, interesting and amazing book I’ve read.

I enjoyed the story from both points of view. And even though I abhore analyzing any author’s work, I am certain my hippocampus and other parts of my brain lit up like a Christmas Tree. Several times while reading I wanted to stop and email you with praise and erratic thoughts. I kept asking myself, how did this author’s brain conjure up this story, these thoughts

  54. Kimberly Gallant says:

    Ms REISS,

Sorry for the unedited incomplete thoughts, that’s what I get for typing out one finger at a time on my reader instead of taking the time to stop, run for a quick pee and grab my laptop where I could hammer out my message using both hands and most of my functioning brain.

Didn’t work out that way, and now I need to run. More thoughts about your excellent book later.

    • C.D. Reiss says:

Hey I didn’t mind being called Ms Dress! I like dresses and I know the mess autocorrect can make! Please do not feel nervous about the note. I loved it and hope you enjoy Separation Games.
