Today, I’d like to introduce you to Jo Raylan. After a month-long process of screening and auditioning, Kaylee and I chose Jo as the audio voice for the Songs of Submission (or, if you’re new, The Submission Series).
The difficulty in finding a voice was more than capturing Monica’s smartass, sophisticated street attitude. It was more than making it sound different than any other erotic book out there…
She had to sing.
And more than sing, she would be responsible for putting my non-rhythmic poetry into song.
Well, Jo sent chills up my spine when she sang Collared. I didn’t think it was possible to actually be a song, but she nailed it to the wall, and that was the end of that. She got the job.
